The housing market in Spain is now revealing some tempting property bargains, says online property resource Nubricks.
The site has noted an increase in searches for Spanish properties, which has come as no surprise to its director Adam Samuel.
Mr Samuel explained that the country is well known to Brits as many people have holidayed there or know someone who has bought property in the country.
There are many "distressed or below market value properties on the market", he said. He has also noted reductions of up to 50 per cent, which is bringing in new buyers.
"Even in an economic crisis there are still people with money and there are still people looking for bargains – those bargains are now becoming available," Mr Samuel commented.
Spain has long been a favoured country for expatriate Brits attracted by its warm weather and standard of living.
However, health service advisory website NHS Choices explains that each country’s healthcare system is different and "might not include all the things you would expect to get free of charge from the NHS".
Expatriate insurance could be useful for Brits moving abroad and can be taken out to help cover private medical costs.
