Expatriate medical insurance policyholders are attracted to Oman because of its beautiful landscape and rich cultural history, the sultanate's Ministry of Tourism has stated.
Visitors might fall in love with the Middle Eastern country's vibrant capital, Muscat, where they can see golden beaches, old markets and modern architecture all at once.
The ministry points out that overseas health insurance customers who come to Oman will find a country that is committed both to tourism and to the protection of the environment, with the country recently receiving the United Nations Environmental Programme's accolade for having one of the best records in eco preservation.
"Explore a land where Shahrazad's stories from '1001 Nights' come alive and visit hundreds of castles, forts and archaeological sites steeped in mythology," the tourism ministry comments, adding that a number of Omani forts have been renovated, with one currently being transformed into a boutique hotel.
"Oman is also taking its culture into the 21st century by creating a stunning Royal Opera House which is due to open next year."
This week, it was announced that the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will be visiting Oman between November 25th and 28th.
