Expatriate Healthcare News: Work to begin on Terminal 1 at Dubai Airport

Work is due to get started on the refurbishment of Terminal 1 at Dubai International Airport within the next few months.

Once it has been finished, expatriates can expect an improved passenger experience when they travel in and out of the country.

The baggage systems at the airport are due to be upgraded so that they can be screened more efficiently and not hold up the flow of traffic.

This will also provide more space for the departures hall, which is to be updated in order to make it more accessible for all passengers.

Those visiting the airport to meet and greet friends and relatives will also see an improvement in the arrivals hall, where they will be able to enjoy food and retail outlets within a fully air-conditioned space.

Paul Griffiths, chief executive of Dubai Airports, said: "Dubai Airports is continually striving to enhance the service we offer all our passengers while expanding our facilities to meet the growing number of passengers passing through the airport."
