Expatriate Healthcare News: Well-travelled expats 'more lucky in love'

Expats who are looking for love in their new area are more likely to be successful in the romantic stakes if they are well-travelled, new research has found.

A dating website poll revealed that eight out of ten people (79 per cent) are more attracted to individuals who have been bitten by the travel bug, with 89 per cent saying this is because those with an interest in exploring other countries are seen as more adventurous.

TV personality and founder of the site behind the research Sarah Beeny commented: "Having shared interests is important for most relationships, so if you're searching for a partner with a passion for seeing the world, make sure you mention your travel aspirations and show off some of your best holiday or travel photos to boost your chances of finding someone with similar interests."

If you do find that special someone and want to indulge your shared passion for travel, make sure you are both fully covered by international health insurance when you jet off for a brand new adventure.
