Expatriate Group is the only finalist to feature in the shortlist for more than three categories.

The Innovative Protection Insurance Intermediary category was open to regulated insurance brokers, financial advisers, and intermediaries globally that serve the life and health insurance market. Judges will be looking for a company that not only offers top quality service, but has shown product or service innovation that has resulted in profitable growth. Alongside this, the company must have harnessed marketing, technology, and social media to increase penetration and maximise the potential of the product.

The Start-Up category was open to any organisation that can provide evidence of making a contribution to the global life and health insurance market in a short space of time. Expatriate Group’s nomination was for their new online Term Life fulfilment and enrolment system – even though the company has been trading since 2003. Entrants must demonstrate that they have identified a gap or failing in the market, and filled it, as well as making advancements in the sector, and provide evidence of great future potential for customers.

Entrants that showed effective use of technology as part of a shift to digitalisation were shortlisted as finalists for the Digital Innovation award. Companies who are implementing market-changing technologies, which has personalised and improved customer engagement, will be scrutinised by judges in this category.

In the last category, the Most Innovative Health Insurer, Expatriate Group also made a finalist position. This was open to global health insurers whose innovations over the past twelve months has not only boosted business efficiency and profitability, but also improved the user experience.

The venue for the Forum and Awards 2016 is yet to be announced. The day itself brings together key industry experts, innovators, and chief executive to showcase innovative solutions. The different sessions will discuss different aspects of the digital era, with speakers and panels, before the awards ceremony at 7pm.
