Moving abroad can be a difficult process and involve several trips to the destination country ahead of actually setting up home there.
This process may now be easier for expatriates relocating to Dubai as authorities in the United Arab Emirates have introduced a multiple entry visa.
Businesspeople and property investors have been campaigning for the measure to be brought in for the past three years and have now had their wish granted.
The old system involved a lot of bureaucracy and financial implications for the citizens of 32 nations, who did not automatically qualify for a visa on arrival into the country.
For the first time those travelling on business to Dubai will be able to obtain a multiple entry visa and therefore bypass a number of inconvenient obstacles.
It is thought that the move will also have a positive impact on tourism numbers as Dubai is the home port of a number of leading cruise lines.
