Dubrovnik is a great place to be in during any month of the year, it has been said.
A representative from the Dubrovnik Tourist Board pointed out that in winter, the streets of the Croatian city are relaxing, as they are "free from the summer crowds".
Describing it as a "city for all seasons", she explained there is a "distinctive charm" in the area at every time of the year.
The spokeswoman recommended that members of the public enjoy Dubrovnik's "astonishing architecture", visit some of the museums and art galleries, eat in a restaurant or cafe and "get lost in the interesting side streets".
"Surrender to your personal rhythm," she advised, claiming this is a good way to "truly get to know" the city.
International health insurance is vital for any visit to Croatia, as according to the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office, every foreigner is obliged to have cover for any health problems that may occur in the country.
