Global health insurance policyholders considering relocating abroad to Australia are being assured that the economic climate makes working in the country "very easy", according to YHA Australia.
Mandy Monk, European sales and marketing consultant for the accommodation network, said any visitor on a working holiday visa could find plenty of employment opportunities Down Under.
Scouring newspapers and recruitment magazines is a good way of job-hunting, while most larger towns and cities have specialist agencies that could help expatriate health insurance customers find employment.
Noting that Australia is a vast country and so boasts lots of different experiences, Ms Monk pointed out that not all work-seeking expatriates have to start off in Sydney.
"Sydney is a spectacular city and a 'must' visit on any trip to Australia but it certainly doesn't need to be the first entry point," she said, adding that other major destinations such as Perth and Melbourne are "just as good a place to start an Australian adventure".
According to research by YHA Australia, the country is one of the few nations forecast to have more people in work by the end of 2011 than before the global financial downturn struck.
