What is the claims portal / how do I use expatriate.claims?
Expatriate.claims is the online claims portal used by Expatriate Group to manage health and travel insurance claims for members worldwide. It is the platform used to recover costs for treatment or expenses you have already paid.
What expatriate claims is for
The portal is designed for submitting claims where you are looking to recover money you have already spent, such as:
- Outpatient medical treatment
- Smaller medical expenses
- Travel insurance claims, including baggage, delays, or lost documents
For hospitalisation or treatment likely to exceed €1,000, pre-approval should be obtained in advance through the 24-hour assistance line, rather than via the portal.
How to use the portal
If you are using expatriate.claims for the first time, you will need to create an account before submitting a claim. Once registered, you can log in to:
- Submit a new claim
- Upload supporting documents
- Track the progress of an existing claim
What you will need before submitting
Before starting a claim on the portal, it is worth gathering the relevant documentation in advance, which typically includes proof of ID, proof of address, invoices, and any supporting medical or travel documentation. Having these ready before you begin makes the submission process quicker and reduces the likelihood of delays caused by missing information.
Support using the portal
If you experience any difficulty registering or submitting a claim through expatriate.claims, the Expatriate Group Claims Department is available during UK office hours, Monday to Friday, to help resolve any issues with your submission.
