Does your expat travel insurance cover adventure sports and outdoor activities while living overseas?
Our expat travel insurance provides cover for a wide range of leisure and recreational sports as standard, so you can enjoy many outdoor activities whilst travelling overseas. This includes everyday sports and low-risk pursuits such as swimming, hiking, cycling, and non-competitive team sports, all included within your policy’s standard medical and travel benefits.
It’s important to note, however, that extreme sports and high-risk activities are excluded from all our plans. Activities such as skydiving, rock climbing, bungee jumping, or other sports considered inherently dangerous are not covered due to the increased likelihood of serious injury. If you plan to participate in such activities, you may need to look into specialist insurance or separate coverage designed specifically for high-risk sports.
When choosing your policy, consider the types of activities you are likely to undertake while living abroad. Our guidance can help you understand what is included and ensure your plan aligns with your lifestyle.
