What expat travel insurance options are available if my employer does not provide international health cover?
If your employer does not provide international health cover, our expat travel insurance offers a range of options to ensure you are protected while living or travelling abroad. You can choose from Comprehensive, Standard, or Basic plans, each designed to cover emergency medical treatment and a variety of travel-related risks, allowing you to select a policy that suits your needs and budget. All our policies can be purchased directly, giving you the flexibility to arrange your own cover independently of an employer.
Our Comprehensive plan provides the highest level of protection, including larger medical limits, lower excesses, and additional benefits such as medical evacuation, hospitalisation, and coverage for unexpected trip interruptions. The Standard plan offers balanced cover with moderate limits and benefits, suitable for travellers who want solid protection without the full premium of the comprehensive option. The Basic plan delivers essential cover with lower limits and higher excesses, providing an affordable solution for those who require fundamental medical and travel protection.
All our travel insurance policies provide cover for stays abroad of up to 180 days. For longer-term relocation or extended stays exceeding this period, it may be appropriate to consider our International Health Insurance, which provides ongoing medical cover for residents abroad and ensures you have the protection you need for long-term living overseas.
