This area "offers a lot more value" than others, as it is on the shoreline and just outside of Camps Bay, the expert stated.
Camps Bay is "extremely windy" and although it is a stunning place, it has never been a particularly popular region to purchase a house, Ms McDermott asserted.
Individuals who wish to spend slightly less money were advised to consider buying an apartment in Sea Point, which is slightly closer to the town.
