International Health Insurance News: Hout Bay 'is popular South African area'

Expatriate health insurance policyholders may wish to invest in residential real estate in South Africa.

Sue McDermott, co-founder of property search and relocation firm Spacesa.com, noted the coastal region of Hout Bay is "always consistently popular".

Houses with Tudor or Tuscan styles, with Cape Dutch appearances or designed by Stefan Antoni can be purchased in this district, she added.

This area "offers a lot more value" than others, as it is on the shoreline and just outside of Camps Bay, the expert stated.

Camps Bay is "extremely windy" and although it is a stunning place, it has never been a particularly popular region to purchase a house, Ms McDermott asserted.

Individuals who wish to spend slightly less money were advised to consider buying an apartment in Sea Point, which is slightly closer to the town.

It is currently a particularly good time to make investments in South African housing, account manager for Rightmove Overseas Tom Whale recently argued.
