Expatriate Insurance News: New expats 'often vulnerable'

Expatriate health insurance can help to provide expats with a safety net; an important thing to consider when relocating overseas.

According to a recent article in Shelter Offshore, people who move overseas tend to find themselves opened up to "a vulnerability that they may possibly never have experienced before".

The article explained that some expats can become "a very obvious and soft target" for unscrupulous people in their new home, partly due to the enthusiasm with which they embrace the changes and experiences.

In addition to this, they are not going to be aware of local traditions, which further mark them out as different.

Having health insurance behind you will at least allow you to feel confident that your health is being taken care of while you work out the ways of your new home.
