People pondering expatriating to France are likely to find that there is more going on in the country's property market this year.
According to Sharon Evans, director of property specialists Cle France, agents are generally reporting "a considerable improvement" on this time last year.
Ms Evans added: "Enquiry levels are up and I think it has been helped particularly [because] the French market has started to pick up a bit."
Lower price brackets are starting to see more activity, which is having "a domino effect" and slowly filtering up to the more expensive houses.
Before you purchase your dream house in France, it is worth looking at the things to consider when relocating abroad.
Expatriate health insurance is one such item that will help you and your family in your new country.
Ms Evans added that the bulk of activity in the north-west of France is in the lower end of the market.
