Expatriates from across the globe appear to be taking interest in buying property in France.
According Tim Swannie, director of Home Hunts, the Paris housing market has "never been stronger".
Speaking to Overseas Property Professional, Mr Swannie remarked: "The property market in Paris stayed strong through the global recession – so no one wants to sell, but clients from all over the world are interested in buying here."
He added that interest from Italy, the UK, Russia, China and Middle Eastern countries was high.
According to Home Hunts, prices of Paris apartments have increased by around 20 per cent over the course of the past year.
However, further price rises are expected by the end of 2011, with buyers expected pay between €15,000 and €25,000 per square metre.
With so much being invested in a new life, it is worth thinking about expatriate health insurance before you move overseas.
