Expatriate Insurance News: Expat buyers rushing to Germany

Overseas property buyers have been rushing to purchase properties in Germany, it has been revealed.

According to Savills Research, transaction volumes in the country are on the rise thanks largely to overseas buyers.

Indeed, the proportion of overseas purchasers reached more than 60 per cent in the first quarter of the year.

Mattias Pink, head of research for the company's Germany branch, told Overseas Property Professional: "A great deal of investors are currently seeking opportunities in the German residential market so it is likely to gain even more momentum during the course of the year."

But before people rush in and snap up a property in Germany, it could be worth looking at what things to consider when relocating abroad.

Health insurance is certainly something worth investigating if you are keen to take good care of yourself and your family.
