Expatriate Healthcare News: Fitness holidays 'proving popular'

Expatriate health insurance policyholders may be looking to spend more of their time abroad taking part in fitness activities.

According to celebrity fitness trainer Steve Halsall, people are increasingly getting out and about and keeping fit during their overseas holidays.

"Because there is so much on offer it is no longer the case of going on holiday and putting a few pounds on," he explained.

And since expatriates have access to these opportunities, there will be plenty of options when it comes to exercising.

Mr Halsall said exercising abroad is a great way to learn something new, as well as maintaining health and fitness levels.

However, he urged participants to make sure coaches and tour guides are qualified and have a good reputation.

"In any industry once there is an explosion of something you do get people trying to cash in," the expert explained.

"Make sure they are insured and make sure that they are covered in all areas."

Personal expatriate health insurance is also essential for those taking part in exercise abroad.
