Expatriate medical insurance policyholders who are thinking of investing in foreign property are being encouraged to consider Brazil.
Adam Samuel, director at Nubricks.com, commented that the country has plenty of advantages, such as a potential for growth and a stable political situation.
The rise of the affluent middle class is also something that may appeal to foreign investors, he pointed out.
"You have an interesting market of people who are potentially your second wave of investors. Therefore, [for] people who are looking to buy to flip, if they buy in the right area at the right price, there is potential for them to flip the property to someone local."
However, it is still important to do your research. "I would look at something where the local market was interested," Mr Samuel advised, as this will make it easier to sell on the property when the time comes.
His comments come after research from Colordarcy revealed that Brazil is currently the most popular country for overseas health insurance customers to look for investment properties.
