More and more people could be in need of expatriate insurance as interest in overseas property is reportedly on the rise.
The latest figures from Rightmove Overseas revealed that there was a 53 per cent increase in interest between January and February.
The most popular countries were Germany, France, Italy and Ireland, while Australia demonstrated the biggest decline in interest.
Robin Wilson of Rightmove commented: "Bargain hunters are out in force, primarily focused on Spain and Ireland.
"We've been tipping Germany for a while now and the north eastern tourist hotspot of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern led the charge this month with searches up nearly 50 per cent."
People who are considering moving abroad might want to look into organising overseas health insurance before they move.
This will ensure that they are covered in the event of an illness or accident.
