Expat Medical Insurance News: Non-eurozone offers best value

Countries outside of the eurozone offer the best value for holidays and property purchases, Expedia has claimed.

Commenting recently, Jonathan Cudworth, director of product management at the online travel agent, explained that Balkan states such as Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia are becoming increasingly popular, while more traditional non-eurozone destinations such as Egypt and Turkey are continuing to attract attention.

For those planning a move abroad, fluctuations in exchange rates may make a considerable difference to the affordability of a property and researching foreign currencies thoroughly may pay dividends.

"The USA also continues to be a great option with its favourable exchange rate and variety of accommodation to suit all budgets with Las Vegas one of our best sellers, driven by low hotel rates," said Mr Cudworth, which may make the US market an attractive prospect for investors as well as holidaymakers.

As part of the financial planning process, those planning a move abroad may benefit from researching expat medical insurance policies to secure extensive yet competitive cover.
