Expat medical insurance news: Malaysian developers 'will flourish in 2010'

Malaysian property developers will benefit from rising demand and an improved economic outlook next year, according to MIDF Research.

Speaking to Bernama on condition of anonymity, an analyst at the business consultancy said that property developers in the country witnessed an unanticipated recovery in demand in the latter half of 2009 as the global economic storms calmed.

The analyst added: "Sales demand for residential properties are expected to remain buoyant as investors continue to deem it as one of the more liquid hedging asset[s]. Speculators are also taking advantage of the current market sentiment."

A recent survey of developers in the country also revealed that none are planning to scale back project in the coming year, the Malaysian state news agency claimed.

For those who are planning a move to Malaysia, Expat Focus reports that the country has one of the best healthcare systems in the region, with many foreign residents and locals opting for readily available private care.
