In a recent article, the expat portal declared that while fixers often help to arrange documents and ease the moving process, there will come a time when even the most upstanding fixer's help becomes unwelcome.
"You'll reach a point where you no longer need them but will find them impossible to shake off. You are their life-blood – or rather, your money is," warned the site.
Expats were also alerted to the risk that a fixer will come to hold considerable power over their clients due to their intimate knowledge of their financial situation.
