A Wiltshire boarding school has unveiled plans to launch a new co-educational college in Malaysia.
The UK's Marlborough College will base its first overseas campus in the Iskandar region, located in the country's southern peninsula.
Slated for opening in September 2012, Marlborough College Malaysia will cater for 432 pupils in the day preparatory school and 915 in the boarders' senior school.
The school's headmaster Nicholas Sampson says the campus will be a "British school with an international feel".
"We anticipate pupils from Malaysia, Singapore and the wider region as well as from expatriate families. Indonesia certainly will be a key market, as will China," he noted.
A statement released by the school promises state-of-the art teaching and sporting facilities, complete with eight rugby fields, a 400-metre running track, a 25-metre swimming pool and cricket pitches.
According to the latest Tatler Schools Guide, the 1843-founded school's UK base offers "first class" teaching and a "huge return" on parents' investment.
