
UK Banks lend less for mortgages

UK banks have leant less money for mortgages this month, according to the latest market figures.
The British Bankers Association has reported that "overall consumer credit was little changed and personal deposits remained weak".
According to the association's statistics director, David Dooks, consumer confidence is "fragile and unlikely to change demand markedly in the near-term".
With such difficulty in obtaining credit and rising unemployment, it is little surprise that the expatriate lifestyle is one still sought after by disconsolate Brits.
The transition to another European country can be straightforward, although potential expatriates should look closely at their destination country's health provision and consider taking international medical insurance.
