
Taste of home for British expats

British expatriates all over Europe searching for a taste of home may be interested in some of the highlights offered by one travel company.
Budget flight expert Skyscanner has compiled what it says are some of the best places Brits can pick up food usually found in on home shores.
Scallops Restaurant in Javea, Spain, Great Shakes in Corfu, Greece and the pub chain FrogPubs in France all get a mention, thanks to their homey food offerings.
For British expatriates that have ventured further afield, the Rising Sun in Tokyo, Japan and the Black Swan in Bangkok, Thailand, offer full-English breakfasts and real ales respectively.
Flanangan's Irish pub in Vienna, Austria, provides all the Irish liquid comforts a British expatriate may need and the Glen Scottish Restaurant in Kanata, Canada, offers more Celtic flavours, Skyscanner states.
For English Tea, Skyscanner recommends the English Tea House and Restaurant in Sandakan, Borneo, and for more sugary fare British Sweets and Treats in Sydney, Australia is recommended.
Supermarket shoppers could try Spainsburys in Valencia, Spain, although it is not known whether the UK retailer would approve.
The Food Standards Agency recommends people maintain a healthy diet containing lots of fruit and vegetables
