Ryanair attacks online 'pirates'

Budget flight operator Ryanair has attacked third party internet sellers, branding them "ticket tout pirates".
The airline has recently acted against so-called screen scraping - when other firms take data directly from its pages. However, this action has been branded anti-competitive by travel software specialist Multicom.
The Bristol-based computing company has taken its complaint against Ryanair to the European Commission, as it says it has a right to offer the Irish airline's flights to rivals.
A spokesperson for the carrier said: "Ryanair continues to block unauthorised ticket tout travel agents from ripping off our passengers."
Ryanair and rival easyJet both fly to expatriate hot-spots and offer no-frills packages to help keep travel costs down.
Multicom managing director John Howell explained that agents were just "trying to get the best deal for their customers".
The Irish airline has also spoken out at claims made by ferry operator Stena line. Gunnar Blomdahl, Stena Line chief executive, told the Guardian poor customer service at Ryanair is helping increase customers to Stena Line's ferry service to Ireland.
A Ryanair spokesperson responded, calling Mr Blomdahl "Stena Line's Captain Hook".
