Qatari health jobs 'go to expatriates'

Brits hoping to find work in healthcare could be in luck if they move to Qatar, the country's healthcare sector is growing and currently 91 per cent of its nurses are expatriates.
The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland - Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) has noted the region faces a shortage of nursing skills and is increasingly drawing on expatriate talent, AMEinfo.com reports.
According to Kevin O'Malley, RCSI president, without a constant supply of nurses "the potential growth rate of the sector will be held back".
AMEinfo.com notes the expansion of the healthcare market is being driven by the Gulf Cooperation Council's extraordinary population growth.
While British expatriates may look to international health insurance when they move abroad, they may also find work in health related professions.
The Registered General Nurse qualification (RGN) is widely respected and may help British nurses find work abroad.
