Pipa and Natal attracting interest in Brazil

Anyone thinking about becoming an expatriate in Brazil should consider buying a property in the areas of Pipa and Natal, it has been suggested.

According to uv10, a team of property professionals specialising in the Brazilian property market, the area around Natal could be particularly attractive because developers are currently building one of the world's biggest airports there.

Samantha Gore, a sales manager at the company, urged overseas investors looking at the Pipa region to move quickly, as demand is steadily increasing and supply is limited, thanks to its position as a protected area.

"It is under ecological protection so they are very strict about what you can build," she said.

"You can't build over two storeys; most of the land is protected. There are very few small developments out there and a lot of demand."

According to the Latin Business Chronicle, Brazil's gross domestic product has increased at an annual rate of 19 per cent since 2003, making it one of the most rapidly developing economies in South America.
