The Canadian province of Ontario is becoming a property investment hotspot for the British expatriate community, one website has suggested.
According to the overseas property blog Nubricks.com, foreign investors are drawn by the area's open spaces, welcoming locals and short distance from the US.
Ontario is home to some of Canada's most stunning natural locations, including four of the Great Lakes, a host of national parks and an unlimited list of potential outdoor activities.
Tom James wrote on Nubricks.com: "Boasting excellent employment and lifestyle opportunities, plus an eclectic mix of cultural pursuits and stunning natural scenery, Ontario has a lot of factors working in its favour."
He added that the Canadian government had also been busy attracting foreign nationals to the country, going so far as to arrange Local Immigration Partnerships in some regions.
The foreign currency exchange rate is currently £1.00 to 1.7476 Canadian dollars.
