Now is the 'right time' to become an expatriate in Germany

16/01/09 18:18

People who want to move abroad and become an expatriate in Germany should do it now, according to BuyAssociation.co.uk.

Paul Collins, property editor of the housing website, said that there are many deals that are available from developers and agents so a potential expatriate should act immediately if they want to move to Germany.

"If you are in a position to go out and buy property now then this is probably one of the best times that you could do it," he said.

Mr Collins went on to say that because of the global economic downturn, a potential expatriate could negotiate a better deal from themselves in terms of property prices.

"There's loads of scope to get more out of a deal than you may be able to in a time when properties boom," he added.

Research by the Investment Property Database revealed that Germany's all property total return stood at 4.5 per cent in 2007, up from 1.3 per cent in 2006.
