'No rush' for expats to sell property in Turkey

There has been no rush for expatriates to sell up and leave their favourite Turkish locations, according to local experts.
Despite some agents claiming the global financial crisis has forced expats to market their homes, the president of Didim's Association of Realtors, Osman Coskun, told Olay 07 this has "nothing to do with the situation".
Mr Coskun noted that foreigners began picking up property in 2004 when prices were very cheap and argued that they "would have sold their properties even if there was no crisis".
His positive attitude to the area's property market is shared by Muslum Yildirim, vice president of the Association of Realtors in Kusadasi.
"Even in times of crisis, those who have money come here to invest in property," Mr Yildirim, told the publication.
Turkey announced a new law in July last year that limits the amount of property a foreigner can own.
