'New Zealand is almost magical'
19/06/09 19:38
British expatriates looking for a new country to settle in will find few that receive such high praise as New Zealand - according to property experts Rightmove.co.uk the islands are "almost magical".
Head of overseas for Rightmove Robin Wilson says Brits have traditionally been attracted to the country because despite being truly on the other side of the world, it "still retains many similarities with home".
His comments followed the announcement that New Zealand has topped the NatWest International Personal Banking Quality of Life Index.
Dan Johnson, director of TheMoveChannel.com, said the country still provides value when compared with the UK, which he describes as "becoming increasingly expensive and overcrowded".
Brits looking to move should consider international healthcare insurance but will have little worry when it comes to speaking in New Zealand - the islands are almost entirely English speaking.
