More IT staff 'will move abroad'

An increasing number of employees working in the IT sector have said they are willing to move abroad and become an expatriate, according to a new study.
Recent research by the IT Job Board revealed that 81 per cent of IT professionals would happily relocate to a foreign country if a job or work opportunity arose due to the flexibility of the industry.
Alex Farrell, managing director of the recruitment organisation, said the survey showed that IT employees are dedicated to professional development.
"The IT community are really committed to building their skills and their careers and if that means going abroad rather than staying domestically, so be it," she said.
Ms Farrell went on to say that she expects more IT employees to become an expatriate as the IT sector is joining the consulting and banking sector in terms of mobility and flexibility.
Some 36 per cent of IT professionals saw language barriers as being the main challenge when moving to a foreign country, according to the IT Job Board.
