Yesterday (September 24th) marked the birthday of Ireland's national drink and Guinness fans around the world took part in the celebrations.

Cat Deeley and Boyzone's Ronan Keating presented the main concert at the Guinness Storehouse, which was streamed live via Sky television to thousands of pubs throughout the UK on the day.

A number of artists also performed in 28 pub venues across Dublin and in Lagos, Cameroon and Australia, where Guinness is widely sold.

Malaysia hosted celebrations for the Asia-Pacific region, which included a concert by the Black Eyed Peas.

The firm called on lovers of the drink to "share a toast" from locations around the world by uploading a video of themselves onto the Guinness website.

More than 200 toasts have been posted so far including one by Texas frontwoman Sharleen Spiteri.

The global celebrations kicked off at 17:59 BST in St James' Gate Brewery in Dublin, when partygoers raised a glass to the global brand.
