International Healthcare News: Bank offers finance help to expats

Mongolian expatriate health insurance policyholders are now able to take advantage of a new facility set up by South Korea's Woori Bank to help expat workers understand their finances.
UB Post reports that the financial institution's Gwanghi-dong branch in downtown Seoul has installed an expatriate lounge filled with around 300 books and a range of Mongolian CDs and DVDs which are free for expatriate medical insurance customers to rent.
The room, which Mongolian expatriates can use without paying a charge, also offers basic Korean textbooks and dictionaries so migrant workers can get to grips with the language and culture of their adopted country.
According to the newspaper, chief executive of the bank Lee Chong-hwi has promised to provide expatriate employees with suitable financial services and to help them engage in social contribution activities.
Woori Bank is currently trying to attract more customers in the Chinese retail banking sector, the Chosun Ilbo reported, in a bid to take some of the market away from its biggest rival Hana Bank, which boasts the highest deposit balance of US $1.1 billion.
