Germany is the expatriate 'country of love'

People who move abroad and become an expatriate in Germany are most likely to fall in love, according to a new study.
In its Expat Experience report, an investigation into expatriate life around the world, research by HSBC Bank International revealed that Germany is the number one place for an expatriate to fall in love.
Paul Say, head of marketing and communications at HSBC, said: "The results really surprised me. I didn't expect that Germany would be the country of love - that's what made it so delightful doing the survey."
Furthermore, people living abroad in Germany are also likely to have a child, with 32 per cent of expats stating their family has grown since moving to the European country.
There was more good news for anyone thinking of becoming an expatriate in Germany as the country was voted the best nation for integration, which Mr Say claimed was due to the fact that many Germans are multilingual.
HSBC found that Canada was the best place for an expatriate to make friends, while Germany came second in the list.
