French 'biggest fans of M&S smalls'

As British retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S) announces plans to expand its operations across 73 new countries, it reports that French customers are snapping up its underwear selection.
Expatriates living across the globe can now buy clothes and household goods from the high street favourite, as customers in nations including Vietnam and China can order products online.
The home delivery service was first launched outside the UK 11 months ago and sales figures show that French shoppers the are keenest on M&S underwear.
The chain's Magic Knickers are said to have sold particularly well across the Channel.
German customers, meanwhile, are placing orders for school uniforms, while Australians have their socks and briefs delivered as far afield as the Daintree Rainforest and the western goldfields.
Commenting on the expansion, director of M&S Direct Dave Hughes said the brand "is synonymous with quality and something welcomed by expats and international shoppers alike."
Research released by the brand earlier this year revealed that M&S underwear and tights are the products most missed by British expats in the US, Australia and Europe, taking 70 per cent of the votes.
