France offers good property buys
03/03/09 15:39
Anyone planning on property investing while living as an expatriate in France can find many options for good buys.
That is according to John Reilly, the managing director of www.BuyAbroad.com, who has claimed that areas such as Brittany and the south of the country are the best to invest in.
"In the holiday-type destinations there is always a steady flow of rental potential from one year to the next," he said.
"Prices have come down about five to ten per cent over the last six months but in the right location they are still holding their money."
According to a survey by Write About Property last month, France was the most searched for country when it came to foreign homes.
The result was based on a Google search of a country followed by the word "property", which it is thought indicated not only those looking to buy but also those wanting to become an expatriate and buy holiday homes.
Coming second in the list was Spain, with Dubai, Bulgaria and Cyprus finishing off the list.
