
France is 'a safe bet' for property

For potential expatriates looking to buy into a stable property, France is a wise choice, says Property Expert.
The country has been less affected by the credit crisis and its rigid borrowing laws have protected its housing market.
Paris and the Cote d'Azur will always retain an international appeal, says the publication.
The French Riviera - popular with the rich and famous - is also a solid option as it suffers little from the boom and bust often associated with property.
Tim Swannie, director of Homehunts, a luxury property search company, told Property Expert demand is still high.
"We agreed a sale on a property last week and there were three buyers offering at the same time" he noted.
The BBC investigated British expatriates who commute from France to the UK.
Gary Wheeler, a farrier from Kent, now living in Pas de Calais, told the broadcaster that the extra driving was no problem.
"The travelling I do over there from my home is ever so easy. There's not any real traffic," he said.
