First overseas Comedy Store to open in Mumbai

Expatriates living in India will soon be able to visit the Comedy Store, as the first of a series of the clubs is to appear in the city.
The first branch opened in London in 1979 before catching on in Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham, and continues to attract new comedy talent.
The Mumbai branch could prove to be a laugh for expatriates and locals alike as it will feature home-grown talent and may help foster a new Indian stand-up scene.
"I wanted to do something special to celebrate our 30th anniversary and what better way than to open a club halfway round the world," said Comedy Store chief executive Don Ward.
He went on to liken Mumbai to "Manchester and London all wrapped up in one".
Failing to insure yourself against accidents when abroad is however, no laughing matter - taking out expatriate medical insurance may help to provide peace of mind.
