Expats 'miss a pint'

Expatriates living in France miss a decent pint, reports the Daily Mail.
Actor Michael Simkins is travelling around the country interviewing expatriates that have crossed the channel in search of pastures new.
His research reveals Brits miss the simplest of things: "Beer - I miss a decent pint," Graeme, an elderly stockbroker told him.
"And support stockings - the ones you get over here have a different weft. It catches in my leg hairs."
The list of reasons why people left UK was far longer, the paper notes. Expat gripes include traffic jams, knife crime, poor parking, surveillance cameras and even Post Office delivery times.
However, the actor found expats to believe that other elements of French life are not up to UK standard, including TV programmes, bureaucracy and the French tax system.
According to the Expat Forum, moving to France brings with it some difficulties and requires "careful planning and an appreciation of the cultures of this widely differing nation".
