The majority of expatriate workers are happy they made their move to Qatar, new research has claimed.

A study conducted by qatarvisitor.com in conjunction with iloveqatar.com found that some 88.2 per cent of expatriate workers in the emirate are happy with their work there.

The latest Jobs Survey questioned a total of 220 employees in the state on a range of issues relating to their work.

It found that the majority of people were satisfied they had made the right decision when choosing to live and work in Qatar.

There were a variety of reasons for coming to Qatar, the survey found, noting that money proved to be the biggest draw, with 46.8 per cent of respondents saying this is why they moved.

Some 28.1 per cent of respondents said they decided to move to experience a new culture and 5.3 per cent said their choice was to experience an adventure.

Besides work, there are a number of cultural highlights that may attract people to Qatar. The Doha Tribeca Film Festival may be one such event.ADNFCR-1788-ID-19327987-ADNFCR
