23/11/09 10:48

Foreign workers fill up to 58 per cent of all positions available in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, a new survey from TalentRepublic.net has found.

According to the employment portal, the majority of domestic workers fill public positions, with expats called in to carry out work in the private sector.

Further data from Madar Research revealed that in the UAE, expats may account for 87 per cent of the country's workforce.

Countries such as the UAE have proved enticing for many Britons looking for employment abroad because of the emirates offer tax-free earnings.

The country has also invested heavily in healthcare in recent years and the WAM news service reports there are now more than 40 hospitals and 115 centres for primary care throughout the UAE.

However, Britons considering relocating abroad should first research expat health insurance opportunities to ensure they are entitled to treatment in foreign healthcare facilities.ADNFCR-1788-ID-19472665-ADNFCR
