Expatriate Insurance News: Middle East 'becoming more popular'

More expatriates and other visitors are travelling to the Middle East now that the financial situation in Dubai has stabilised, cheapflights.co.uk has ascertained.
Nadine Hallak, a spokesperson for the price comparison website, said that travel started picking up again when the Emirates began slashing their hotel prices by more than half.
Interest in Abu Dhabi also grew after the popular Sex and the City II film was set there, along with the launch of Formula One in the region.
However, a lull in July could be attributed to the heat.
"The summer months of July and August are excessively hot in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the Gulf region as a whole, with temperatures hitting well above 40 degrees centigrade and humidity rising to 100 per cent almost daily," Ms Hallak explained, adding that many locals try to save their holiday for July and August so they can escape the heat.
Figures released by STR Global showed that Abu Dhabi witnessed an occupancy decrease of 23 per cent in July from the previous month.
