Expatriate Healthcare News: Murdered expat's family 'need money for repatriation'
28/07/10 18:32
The family of an expatriate who, along with his partner, was shot dead while being burgled are appealing to the public for help repatriating his body.
James Bolton, an expat originally from Lincoln, UK, was allegedly murdered by a gunman who has been accused of seven other killings.
Mr Bolton and his Filipino partner were gunned down at their house in the village of Malabanas, near Angeles in the Philippines and their home was ransacked.
His daughter, Becky, who lives in Stroke-on-Trent, said the family cannot afford the £8,000 needed to fly the expat's body home.
"He has not only been murdered, his apartment has also been ransacked and everything stolen," she said.
"This means we can't even have any of his personal belongings for memories."
A Facebook campaign has been launched appealing for donations.
Mark Dizon, a computer technician, was arrested earlier this week in San Fernando city on suspicion of nine murders during three separate burglaries.
