Expatriate Healthcare News: Expats 'increasingly hired by Indian companies'

Business owners in India are increasingly hiring expatriates to fill skills gaps, experts have said.
The country's information technology sector is turning to expats, both overseas and living locally, in order to utilise training and skills learned in other nations, Silicon India reported.
Mohandas Pai, director and head of human resources at IT firm Infosys Technologies, told the business magazine: "[Expatriates] are hired to fill skills gaps. There are a lot who want to work for a world-class company that has its base in India. They want to have an India experience in their CV."
Sanat Kawatkar of Towers Watson told the publication that expats are employed to fill management positions in finance and actuarial services at insurance firms, because "the local talent pool is limited".
Just as skilled Indian expatriates are moving overseas to find work, so are expats from other countries coming to India to showcase their skills and training to local companies, especially as Indian firms set their sights on becoming a global presence.
