Expatriate Healthcare News: Expat uses Twitter to appeal for missing son

An expatriate whose young son is thought to have been kidnapped in Thailand has launched an appeal on social networking site Twitter.
Martin Perry and his Thai wife Gritchana have not seen their eight-month-old son Tristan since March 30th, when he vanished from his Bangkok nursery, the Telegraph reported.
Mr Perry, who moved from Britain in 2007 for his career, posted a tweet on the micro-blogging site which read: "A very serious request: Does anyone have any contacts or friends in the police here in Bangkok who might be able to help us? Son kidnapped."
The expatriate believes Tristan was taken by his mother-in-law, who he says wants money for his son's return.
He told ITV News that the local police force have been unwilling to get involved in the case because it is seen as a family matter.
Mr Perry told the Telegraph that the situation has been made worse by the current civil unrest in Bangkok.
"It's very worrying to not know where your young son is, especially when there's so much violence going on," he added.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office confirmed they are providing the expat with consular assistance.
