Expatriates considering a move to Australia may be swayed in their decision by the announcement that British actresses can now audition for a cameo part in the famous soap opera, Neighbours.
The show, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in March, is offering female fans halfway around the world the opportunity to appear as a character living in Ramsay Street for a month.
Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan launched their careers from the set of Neighbours, now British expatriates could have the chance to do the same.
Those interested in appearing in the soap can download an audition script from television broadcaster Five's website before uploading their tapes on to YouTube.
A panel will then pick the top five and the top two will be decided by a public vote. The lucky two will fly to Melbourne where producers will offer one of them the role.
Five channel controller Richard Woolfe said Neighbours is loved by millions in the UK.
"I'm thrilled we have the opportunity to find a brand new star and hand them the international stage Neighbours provides."
