20/10/09 15:32
A newly revamped social networking site aiming to attract expatriate members from around the world has been unveiled.
Scoubt's developers say the web resource will help migrants settle into their adoptive community by providing access to information they can trust.
A spokesperson for the social networking site explained that the site offers job postings, online chat features and an open listings section.
Users can access Scoubt via existing accounts on sites such as Facebook and Twitter without needing another password, he added.
First launched in May this year, the site now boasts a number of new features, including a facility for members to advertise their own groups or services.
The company claims the network already has 15,000 members from across the globe, including expat hotspots such as the Middle East and Spain.
In related news, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has been commended by the Economist magazine for popularising social networking.
Mr Zuckerberg will be presented with the No Boundaries Innovation Award at a ceremony later this month.
