18/12/09 13:10

Rugby NZ 2011 has unveiled the hosting centres for the national teams during the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand in 2011.

The chief executive of the organising committee Martin Snedden has today (December 18th) revealed that a number of small communities have been given the opportunity to play hosts to some of the biggest names in world rugby in 2011, in a move designed to get the whole country involved in the competition.

"We have said all along that we wanted as many communities as reasonably possible to get a first hand taste of this exciting tournament," he said.

In news that is likely to be of interest to expat rugby fans of all nationalities living in the country, ten destinations which will not be holding matches have been awarded the task of providing training facilities for the likes of Australia, England, France, South Africa and Italy.

Expats who are considering joining a local sports club to keep fit and healthy may do well to arrange expat medical insurance cover before doing so to ensure any injuries can be treated professionally.
